More Than Just Changing a Globe
Downlight installation looks simple from the outside, but there are a lot of ways to get it wrong. The spacing is off and you get patches of light and dark. The colour temperature is too warm or too cool for the room. The trims don't sit flush. The driver hums. We've fixed plenty of DIY and budget-job downlight work over the years — it's more involved than it looks.
When Wave Electrical installs downlights, we get the layout right before we cut any holes. We recommend the right colour temperature and beam angle for each room. We make sure the fittings are IC-rated where they need to be (ceiling insulation contact), and we install everything cleanly so the finished result looks intentional, not patched.
